Liquorice root has an intense sweet flavour, and makes a great replacement for sugar. It also has many health benefits, such as detoxifying the body, increasing blood pressure, helping with gastrointestinal problems and cleansing the respiratory system.
Use a level teaspoon per cup.
Infuse for 5-10 minutes at 100°C.
It is advised not to drink more than 3 cups of pure liquorice root tea per day.
