This tea originates from the Fujian province. The Souchong leaves are the larger, riper leaves picked from the base of the tea plant. After fermenting, the leaves are pan fired and then smoked over resin rich pine chips. The liquor is amber coloured, the taste is earthy and smoky with sweet overtones of pine.
Use a heaped teaspoon per cup.
Infuse for 2-4 minutes at 100°C.
